- Beluga lentils from organic, Bavarian cultivation
- Without prior soaking
- Excellent for lentil salads, as a garnish, for risotto or for spreads.
- The treatment of the harvested grain to the finished bag is done very carefully and gently by hand.
Beluga lentils are also called “caviar lentils” because they are black and shiny. They are also considered to have a particularly noble taste. Beluga lentils develop a nutty aroma when cooked, reminiscent of chestnuts.
Beluga lentils do not disintegrate during cooking and are therefore excellent for lentil salads, as a side dish, for risotto or for preparing spreads. Cooking time is 20-30 minutes without prior soaking. They are popular as a contrast to white fish or in pasta dishes.
Lentils contain a lot of protein and B vitamins.
The Beluga lentils for Chiemgaukorn come exclusively from our own cultivation from organic fields in Chiemgau. A special feature, as there are very few lentils from Germany!
We grow our products in a sustainable crop rotation that protects and promotes soil life and biodiversity. The treatment of the harvested lentil to the finished bag is done very carefully and gently by hand.
