Growing up in the flat countryside of Artland in Lower Saxony, Torsten Pistol, aka Pistole, went from strength to strength. With a lot of talent, passion and a pinch of luck, the trained nurse and paramedic first became a fish farmer and finally the boss of Pistole Hardcore-Food.
But first from the beginning. Torsten came into contact with fish farming through a vacation job – and for a long time he couldn’t get away from it. One day Torsten happened to answer the phone at his former breeding farm. On the other line: Thomas Imbusch from Tim Mälzer’s Off Club himself. And he was hot for ten kilos of hardcore fish. Pistole didn’t have to be told twice about the order. With fresh fish and a fat mood in his luggage, Pistole set off for Hamburg the next day and supplied the chef with his top product.
The starting signal for Pistole Hardcore-Food had been given. Gradually, star chefs such as Stefan Marquard and Joachim Kaiser crossed his path. Since then, Pistole has been on tour, always on the lookout for new foods and their stories with which he can inspire the top gastronomy of the Republic. The fish were soon joined by culatello, balsamic vinegars, spirits or real oils. What they all have in common: They are 100% hardcore.
