Laori is the first non-alcoholic alternative to gin that tastes and smells like gin. Botanicals such as juniper, cardamom and lavender give Laori its unique aroma. Spicy, fresh, delicious.
Manufacture:
For Laori, the method of producing non-alcoholic beverages was rethought and a new process was specially developed. Eight botaniclas are particularly gently distilled individually on a water basis.
Non-alcoholic:
Laori is legally alcohol-free and therefore hangover-free. The product has an alcohol content of 0.25%.
Low calorie:
Laori is sugar-free and particularly low in calories with 3 calories per 100 ml. With stevia, manufacturers rely on the power of nature and do not use artificial flavors.
Regional and organic:
Only organic quality herbs and spices are used. The product is mixed and bottled at the gates of berlin.
Ingredients:
Water, distillates of herbs and spices, natural juniper flavor, citrus pectin, acidifier malic acid, preservative potassium sorbate, sweetener steviol glycosides.
Good to know:
The term “non-alcoholic gin” or “non-alcoholic spirit” does not yet exist by food law because the category is so new. By definition, gin has an alcohol content of at least 37.5% by volume. and spirits of min. 15% vol.
Therefore, we always speak of “non-alcoholic alternative to gin”. The official sales description is “Non-alcoholic juniper base for cocktails and long drinks with sweetener”.
Our drinking recommendation:
Laori Juniper No 1 unfolds its full aroma only in a drink. Any gin-based drink can now be enjoyed non-alcoholic with Laori. Laori can also be enjoyed neat on ice, but tastes less intense.
Manufacturers:
The food tech startup was founded by Stella Strüfing & Christian Zimmerman in Berlin. The Hamburg native and the Swiss combine concentrated food tech know-how and management expertise with a flair for indulgence and delicious products. With their expertise, they develop their own products and have been successfully selling Laori Juniper No 1 since 2020.
“The idea for Laori was born one night in a bar in Berlin. I was out with friends and didn’t want to drink alcohol. I didn’t tolerate it so well anymore and wanted to be fit the next day. But I quickly ended up with sodas, non-alcoholic juice cocktails or water. All quite sweet or boring. I just wanted a gin and tonic without the alcohol! The idea never left me and I started distilling in my own kitchen. Later, Christian joined us and we started to implement our vision of Laori.”
