Fresh figs are simply delicious and are also appreciated as jam specialties in southern countries. When developing the recipe of “La Dolce Vita” we at Marmondo thought of friends in Sicily, that’s how this Italian orientation came about.
The almond brings in a slightly bitter aspect that builds a stimulating contrast to the sweet fig. The taste of the whole is embedded in a fine almond liqueur with herbs (the recipe is kept secret by the manufacturer, of course), which evokes the memory of marzipan.
