Spruce Fineness. Forest air in glass
In this particular creation, Stilvol Manufacture has truly captured the spirit of the forest – you could say it is a spirit within the spirit. For this purpose, hand-planed wood from the Swabian spruce and spruce needles are preserved in alcohol in Baden-Württemberg. This process is also called “maceration”. Thus, the flavors dissolve and pass into the alcohol. The resulting mixture is then distilled. In terms of taste, the spruce spirit is reminiscent of Swiss pine schnapps, which many know from Austria, and which gets its typical aroma from the cones of the Swiss pine. In addition, the spirit evokes associations with cozy warm sauna visits or a long walk in the fragrant forest. At the end of the production process you get a sweetish spirit with an alcohol content of 38% vol. and pleasant wood notes. These come into their own best when the spirit is enjoyed at room temperature. In addition, the full aroma of spruce spirit is retained for a particularly long time if it is stored in a dark, cool and dry place. You can store the spirit for several months without losing flavor. After prolonged storage, the strong spruce aroma fades over time, but the spirit does not go “bad”, so it can still be enjoyed without hesitation.
