The red rowan berries for this spirit come from the Austrian Vorarlberg. When eaten as a fruit, the rowan is inedible; when distilled, however, it is a delicacy. The sun of the hilly-mountainous landscape allows the demanding rowan berry to fully ripen and complete the flavors that are found in the spirit. The nose smells herbs, wet leaves, marzipan but also rose hips and an autumn meadow. In the mouth, this spirit remains soft but without losing impression.
The rowanberry needs a little more strength so that the aromas of the berry can develop perfectly, so we decided to give it a strength of 38% alcohol.
