COFFEE QUALITY. TREASURES FROM COLOMBIA
Only Columbia Excelso beans are used for the Bialetti Perfetto Moka Classico. These beans of Colombian origin are separated by sieving operations from larger and smaller beans, each falling into different quality categories. Bialetti achieves with the Excelso bean blend of 50% Arabica and 50% Robusta a soft and balanced aroma that develops floral notes and also reminds of dried fruit. The typical Bialetti grinding and roasting degree ensures that an optimal result can be achieved by preparing the coffee in the manufacturer’s coffee makers. Frahling lovers with induction stoves need shed no tears: There are induction-compatible adapter plates for the classic Moka Express and the Brikka stove!
TEAMWORK. ARABICA AND ROBUSTA
Arabica and Robusta beans often come together in coffee blends – because they simply complement each other perfectly. In terms of taste, the Arabica bean impresses with its gently sweet, floral and fruity notes. The Robusta bean forms the matching counterpart. Its flavor focuses on an earthy, nutty and bitter depth, varying in intensity depending on the roast. The Arabica-Robusta blend forms a harmonious team that is particularly well suited for all-round use: from creamy espresso to caffè latte.
With the increasing coffee culture since the 17. and In the 18th century, the cultivation area of the Arabica bean expanded, especially to India and Central and South America. The Robusta bean is mainly cultivated in Africa, Asia and South America. The plant bears its name due to its high-yielding and robust properties. The Robusta bean contains more caffeine than the Arabica bean. While the Arabica bean prefers a temperate climate and high altitudes, the Robusta plant thrives at higher temperatures and in lower altitude growing areas due to its heat-resistant properties.
